The rules for this site and the demo.

1. Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and Peripety Labs LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company (“Peripety Labs,” “we,” “us”). They apply when you use conferenceos.io or the demonstration instance at demo.conferenceos.io (together, the “Sites”). By using the Sites, you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the Sites.

2. Customer deployments are covered separately

If your organization runs events on ConferenceOS, its use of the service is governed by a separate written agreement with Peripety Labs. If that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement controls.

3. Using the demonstration instance

The demo exists so you can evaluate ConferenceOS. When you use it:

• Use sample data only. Don’t enter real attendee records, payment details, or anything confidential.
• Assume anything you enter may be seen by other demo users. We may reset, change, or delete demo content and accounts at any time without notice.
• Don’t access other users’ accounts or data, run load tests, or disrupt the service. Good-faith security research that follows our vulnerability reporting policy is permitted; report what you find through that process.
• Don’t use the demo to send unsolicited messages or to run a real event.

We may suspend demo access for anyone who breaks these rules.

4. Ownership

The content of the Sites, including text, graphics, and screenshots, belongs to Peripety Labs or its licensors. You may read it, share links to it, and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not republish the Sites or substantial parts of them without permission.

ConferenceOS™ is a trademark of Mark R. Hinkle. Other product names and logos on the Sites belong to their owners and appear only to identify integrations and comparisons; their appearance doesn’t imply endorsement.

The open-source components used in ConferenceOS are listed with their licenses on the software bill of materials and remain under those licenses.

5. Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve ConferenceOS without owing you anything for them.

6. Product information

We work to describe ConferenceOS accurately, including marking features as “coming soon” when they aren’t available yet. Product capabilities change, and the Sites describe the product at a point in time. What we commit to deliver is set out in a customer agreement, not on these pages.

7. Disclaimer

The Sites are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, Peripety Labs disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Sites will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that demo data will be preserved.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Peripety Labs won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the Sites. The Sites, including the demonstration instance, are provided free of charge, and our total liability for any claim related to them is limited to zero U.S. dollars (US$0). Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

Liability for any paid services will be set out in the written agreement for those services.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about the Sites will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Sites after a change, you accept the updated terms.
